Normally, when colleagues at the Tintometer® Group initially explain what the company does, the typical response is a fairly blank look. This makes the standard ‘elevator pitch’ somewhat challenging, unless you want to ride up and down a few times. Yet when you begin to explain the importance of colour measurement, the proverbial penny drops and the audience is captivated. Why, then, do we need to measure colour?

Unifying the Biofuels Industry

Biofuel is becoming increasingly popular as a valid alternative fuel similar to conventional or ‘fossil’ diesel. Biofuels can be produced from straight vegetable oil, animal oil/fats, tallow and waste cooking oil. The largest possible source of suitable oil comes from oil crops such as rapeseed, palm or soybean. All of these sources can vary significantly in their colours.

Assisting UK – China Business Developments and Corporate Relationships

Last month, the Lovibond® team in China took pleasure in participating at the “Accelerating 'Made in China 2025’ UK-China Manufacturing Seminar”. This seminar was a joint venture between the China-Manufacturing Industrial Design Institute, the China-Britain Business Council and the British Consulate-General Chongqing, held on June 21 in Sichuan, China.
